ELTEC (English Language Training Enhancement Course) - a self-study course being developed in collaboration with:

• Rakovsky Defense and Staff College (Sofia, Bulgaria),
• DLIELC (San-Antonio, USA),
• George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies (Garmisch, Germany),
• and supported by other organizations (ACT, US JFCOM, NATO School).

This is a practical course specifically designed to develop essential communication and language skills for NATO Staff Officers. It is divided into six modules that address the main stages of meetings, from preparation through directing and facilitating to decision-making and closing a meeting. The aim of the course is to develop both competence and confidence in different situations, so that NATO Staff Officers acquire the necessary skills to play an active role in NATO and other international meetings.

Module 1 “Oral communication. Telephone calls” are under development.

Module 2 “Written communication” are under development.

Module 3 “Participation in Meetings” is at piloting.
